About

I was the kid that would take out 20 books from the library when the limit was 15. I read voraciously through summers, devouring everything from The Boxcar Children, to Enid Blyton, to Lois Lowry. As I've gotten older and busier, I've meandered in and out of book clubs, and have come to covet narratives that keep my mind spinning, long after the last page has been turned.

Born in Vancouver and now living in Toronto, Canada, I am a workaholic professional and mother to two endlessly curious children. Maternity leave reignited my passion for sharing great reads with my friends, and this little blog is a way for me to archive and spread the reach of those recommendations.

I read widely, and take much of my inspiration from friends, The New York Times, and key award lists (often Pulitzer, Man Booker, National Book Award). I love books that immerse me in a radically different culture, and those that test the bounds of my imagination and empathy.

I hope you find your next satiating read here!
